DISABILITY EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS
See the person first, not the disability.

Our Disability Education Programme encourages primary and secondary school children to think about issues such as stereotyping and prejudice. Co-facilitated by The Friendship Circle members, students learn first-hand about some of the challenges people with disabilities are faced with.

Partner schools include Broughton Jewish Primary School, North Cheshire Jewish Primary School, Jewish Day School, King David Primary School and Bury and Whitefield Jewish Primary School.

“We have a huge responsibility as educators to help nurture upstanding members of the community, who treat everybody as they would want to be treated themselves. I’m immensely proud to work with The Friendship Circle and together build future generations of kinder, more caring and inclusive people. I love that the pupils talk about the positive impact the sessions have had on them.”
Rayna Glickman, Head of Jewish Studies at King David Primary School
